Sep. 6, 2017

This year the Hawai‘i Lodging and Tourism Authority (HLTA) and Aloha United Way (AUW) are proud to announce Cheryl Williams, General Manager of The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, and Michael Wilding, General Manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Alana - Waikiki Beach, as the HLTA AUW 2017 Fall Campaign co-chairs. “We are very excited to once again have such incredible talent spearheading our HLTA AUW Fall Campaign so that we can continue to help and share our aloha with our local community,” said Mufi Hannemann, President and CEO of Hawai‘i Lodging and Tourism Authority.

This year the campaign focus is on a deeper engagement from the lodging and tourism sector in Waikīkī. “This industry has always had a strong commitment to the community and gives back through an array of events including the annual Charity Walk and the HLTA AUW Fall Campaign,” said Cheryl Williams, co-chair of the HLTA AUW Fall Campaign. “I am thrilled to be chosen as co-chair for the HLTA AUW Fall Campaign and eager to help raise funds.”

Last year, the HLTA AUW Fall Campaign raised over $300,000. “DoubleTree by Hilton Alana - Waikiki Beach is running its first employee workplace campaign this year,” said Michael Wilding, co-chair of the HLTA AUW Fall Campaign. “We want to get more companies to participate and we are ambitiously determined to surpass last year’s campaign total.”

“AUW has always strived to help create a better community and with campaigns like the HLTA AUW Fall Campaign, it gets us closer to that goal,” said Cindy Adams, President and CEO of Aloha United Way. “Every campaign and donor is significant in our effort to address the greatest needs of our community.”
