Spirit of Community Awards
The Spirit of Community Awards are an annual celebration of the companies and government agencies who support AUW's mission through workplace giving campaigns each year. In 2020, the COVID-19 Pandemic brought so much to a standstill, SOCA included. What it didn't stop were the 1400+ organizations who continued to fundraise and drive change when we needed help most. We couldn't celebrate in-person with the campaign coordinators, leaders, and employees who raised millions in 2020 and 2021. So, Aloha United Way prepared a yearbook to honor our SOCA winners and the, "Giving Class of 2020-21" with a special publication.
Celebrate and Honor AUW's Giving Champions
The yearbook below spotlights the amazing work of local companies and organizations who went above and beyond in their workplace giving campaigns. Meet stand-out leaders, campaign coordinators, and teams who exceeded expectations every step of the way and represent some of the most impactful, creative, and committed fundraisers in our community. The workplaces participating in giving campaigns shifted from in-person plans to virtual fundraising overnight while dealing with unprecedented economic and corporate shifts.
Mahalo
On behalf of the 350+ nonprofit agencies that worked tirelessly to bring aid to many in our community in 2020 and 2021; on behalf of ALICE households who were provided access to programs that would not exist without the ALICE Initiative; and on behalf of the thousands upon thousands of individuals requesting assistance from the 211 statewide helpline - MAHALO!
