HEI donates over $930,000 to support Aloha United Way and our community

May. 31, 2017

Today, Aloha United Way (AUW) received a donation check for $930,070 from HEI to help support AUW's 2016 campaign.   HEI is the parent company of Hawaiian Electric and American Savings Bank.  The AUW campaign was kick-started by a $300,000 donation from the HEI Charitable Foundation, and fueled by a year-long fundraising campaign by Hawaiian Electric employees and retirees, raising more than $518,000.  American Savings Bank employees also generously supported AUW through their Kahiau annual giving campaign. We are truly grateful for their generosity and continued support of Aloha United Way and our community.
