Young Leaders Initiative
To engage emerging leaders under the age of 45 in philanthropy and community caring, Aloha United Way has created the Society of Young Leaders (SYL) with its focus in the areas of health and human services.
The group is comprised of approximately 30 individuals’ representative of various industries, including, but not limited to, legal, real estate, retail, finance, marketing and non-profit.
Membership is open to any young leader between the ages of 18 – 45. Members are required to volunteer 28 hours per year for various community service projects. Benefits include networking and social event opportunities, invitations to leadership forums and giving back to improve and strengthen our community.
The Society of Young Leaders is spearheaded by the planning committee who is responsible for setting the strategic direction and organizing networking events and working with the group to develop community service projects.
Future events include item drives, visits to non-profit facilities and luncheons with top CEOs.
