Student Aloha Poster & Logo Contest
The annual Student Aloha Program Poster and Logo Contest was created to engage local students in the work that Aloha United Way and its partners commit to every day to improve lives in our community. The contest encourages students from K–12th grade to deliver our message of improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities through artistic expression.
Poster Contest
This year’s theme is “Living United with Aloha.” We, at Aloha United Way, know there are a lot of important issues facing our island community today. That’s why we’re focusing our efforts on five of the most pressing issues facing our community - early childhood development, emergency and crisis services, financial stability and independence (or helping families to make ends meet), crime and drug use (prevention), and homelessness. Show us what “Living United with Aloha” means to you and your community.
The poster contest is for students from kindergarten through sixth grade, who are currently enrolled in a public or private elementary school on Oahu. One winner will be chosen from each of the following grade levels: Kindergarten – 1st Grade, 2nd – 3rd Grade and 4th – 6th grade. The winner in each category will receive a $75 cash prize, have their poster framed and displayed in Aloha United Way’s lobby and receive exposure on Aloha United Way’s website.
Logo Contest
Each year, students in grades 7 – 12 design a logo for the following year’s Student Aloha Program. Logos must convey the mission of Aloha United Way and its Student Aloha Program. The winner of the logo contest will receive a $75 cash prize, exposure on Aloha United Way’s website and their logo will appear on all Student Aloha collateral materials for the 2011-2012 school year.
How to Enter
- Download and complete the 2011-12 Poster & Logo Contest Entry Form and Model Release Form.
- Review either the 2011-12 Poster Contest Rules & Information or the 2011-12 Logo Contest Rules & Information.
- Mail in or drop off your poster or logo contest entries to Aloha United Way - 200. N. Vineyard Blvd., Suite 700, Honolulu, HI 96817.
