Moiliili Community Center (MCC) is a private, non-profit 501 (c) 3 agency organized to serve the needs of people of all ages. It traces its origin to 1902 when a group of community leaders founded a Japanese language school which eventually evolved into a multi-social service agency. In l945 the Moiliili Community Association was chartered and incorporated as a non-profit organization, and in 1965, the Association changed its name officially to Moiliili Community Center, recognizing its more multi-faceted functions to meet the changing needs of the surrounding neighborhood. It's mission "enriching our lives and our Moiliili community" is facilitated by providing the residents and those from surrounding areas, with the support, services and programs to function at their best in individual, family and community life. Present programs include: a Japanese Language School (grades K-6); Children and Families program providing after school, vacation, intersession, holiday and summer child care; Adult Leisure classes; Well Senior, Support Services, Elder Care Services (in home care for 60 and above), and a Thrift Shop.
